Susan Macfarlane, MScA, RD

I believe that health and wellness is achieved by eating foods that nourish the body and mind. Yet in today’s world, where ultra-processed foods dominate grocery store shelves and meals are ordered versus prepared, eating has become an afterthought, rather than the rewarding and pleasurable experience it should be.

It’s time for a change.

I am a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist devoted to helping you reclaim your right to health by choosing a diet where food is grown and cooked, not created and packaged. I am an outspoken advocate for sustainable food systems that benefit both our individual health and the health of our planet (see Why Plant-Based?).

Whether you’re interested in losing weight, managing a chronic health condition, improving your athletic performance, or simply achieving your healthiest and most authentic self, my expansive nutrition knowledge and strong motivational skills will provide you with the information and tools you need to reach and maintain your health and wellness goals.

As part of my MSc program, I completed an advanced practicum in pediatric eating disorders at Sick Kids hospital in Toronto. I also penned nutrition guidelines on the identification and management of the disordered eating pattern, orthorexia nervosa.
